E-resources
The Library Am Guisanplatz BiG has numerous licences for e-resources from which you can benefit as an employee of the Federal Administration or the Armed Forces.
Employees of the Federal Administration and of the Armed Forces have access to numerous licences for e-resources. On this website you will find a list of all licences for access to various journals, newspapers, e-books and reference works.
Please note:
· some of these online publications can be accessed by all residents of Switzerland (National licences)
· some can be accessed by all employees of the Federal Adminstration or Armed Forces (Federal Administration licences)
· some are only available to employees of administrative units that have signed a with the BiG (Group licences and Campus licences at Swissconsortium)
National licences
National licences give all residents of Switzerland free access to over six million scientific articles from the journal archives of the publishers De Gruyter, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press and Springer. The BiG's national licences give all Swiss residents free access to over six million scientific journal articles.
Federal Administration licences
As an employee of the Federal Administration, you have access to numerous e-resources such as journals, newspapers, e-books and reference works from your work PC or laptop.
Campus licences at Swissconsortium
The BiG offers access to additional e-resources via Swissconsortium to employees of administrative units that have signed a service level agreement.
Group licences
The BiG can set up access to e-resources for several employees via a group licence. There must be an agreement between your administrative unit and the BiG for this service.
