Federal Documentation Conference FDC
The Federal Documentation Conference (FDC) is the coordinating body of the Federal Administration for information and documentation.
The main purpose of the FDC is to ensure the regular exchange of information, initiate joint projects in its specialist field and provide specialist support to the BiG. The BiG has headed the FDC since 1 January 2009, and it is chaired by the library’s director. The federal departments and the Federal Chancellery have one seat each. The Swiss National Library, the Parliamentary Services and other interested administrative units are able to participate in the FDC in an advisory capacity (see Art. 10 BiG Ordinance).
