Workstations and facilities

The Library Am Guisanplatz BiG is a modern place to learn and work. Here you can work at attractive workstations and benefit from BiG's infrastructure.

There are several workstations in the BiG reading room. All workstations have a power connection and WiFi.

• WiFi

  You can use the ‘gov-public’ WiFi free of charge on the BiG premises. For further information, please contact the front desk.

• Printing, copying and scanning

  You can use the multifunction printer free of charge. Documents can be scanned directly onto a USB stick.

• Newspapers and magazines

  The BiG has a selection of national and international daily and weekly newspapers and magazines. Daily newspapers can be read on the premises, while weekly newspapers and magazines may be borrowed.

  Information on the BiG's electronic journal holdings can be found under E-resources.

• Coffee Point

  There is a coffee area on the ground floor of the BiG where you will find a snack and coffee vending machine as well as a selection of daily newspapers. It can be used during the library's opening hours.

• Parking

  The BiG has a limited number of parking spaces. Please email or call us to reserve a parking space before your visit.
