Documentation request
The Library Am Guisanplatz BiG responds to documentation requests for all academic disciplines. A team of information specialists with an academic background is available to help you conduct your research.

Our service
The BiG team helps users to find the information they are looking for. Information specialists with an academic background help employees of the Federal Administration and the Armed Forces to access specialist knowledge by conducting searches and preparing documentation.
When resources allow, the BiG team can also help persons from other institutions and the general public to conduct searches. The service is thus available to all users and is free of charge.
You can submit your documentation request using the form provided. Requests usually take a few days to process.
Topics
Requests can be made for all academic disciplines. As the information service provider for the Federal Administration and the Armed Forces, the BiG primarily holds media required by the employees. It therefore has big expertise in these disciplines.
We also answer enquiries on military history. Because of its history and its affiliation with the DDPS, the BiG specifically curates a particularly extensive and complete collection of documents in this area.
