Did you know that the Library Am Guisanplatz (BiG) is a listed building and a former munitions depot? And do you know how the Federal Administration is supplied with up-to-date specialist information? You can learn about these and other interesting facts on a free guided tour of the library.

The BiG, which was established in 2007 following a decision by the Federal Council, is a place of learning and knowledge, housed in a modern yet listed building that is of architectural interest.

Why not take a tour of the BiG to discover its eventful history and learn how a modern information and media centre works. On a free half-hour/hour guided tour you will learn more about

  • the history of the BiG and its current tasks,
  • the listed building,
  • our valuable special collections.

A maximum of 15 people are admitted per tour. If your group is larger, it is possible to book several tours.
