The BiG, which was established in 2007 following a decision by the Federal Council, is a place of learning and knowledge, housed in a modern yet listed building that is of architectural interest.

Why not take a tour of the BiG to discover its eventful history and learn how a modern information and media centre works.

On a free half-hour/hour guided tour you will learn more about

  • the history of the BiG and its current tasks,
  • the listed building,
  • our valuable special collections.

Please note that the guided tours take place during the opening hours of the BiG. Groups of 15 or more can book several tours in parallel.
