Current exhibition

The current exhibition ‘Memories from Korea. Everyday life, culture and Swiss peacebuilding’ takes a look at the private memories of former members of the Swiss Armed Forces who, since the ceasefire on 27 July 1953, worked or are now working as neutral observers in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission in Panmunjom.

The exhibition runs from 21 August 2020 to 25 February 2022.

Next exhibition

In its next exibition, the BiG presents a selection of photographs by Walter Rutishauser (1940–2017), who worked for many years as a press photographer. He was also photographer for the Federal Palace for several decades, taking portraits of the federal councillors and members of parliament. His large archive of photographs, 6,000 of which are already available in the Alexandria online research portal, have formed a special collection at the BiG since 2013.

The exhibition runs from 12 May 2022 to 24 February 2023.
