New title in the BiG publication series

No 85 in the BIG publication series is devoted to the topics of education in science and politics.

Science and politics are each subject to different functional logics and rationalities, which are interrelated and loosely coupled in the structure of education. Educational research, educational policy, educational administration, and educational practice have been and are sometimes reconstructed empirically as well as systematically as a "complex set of relationships." Particularly the analyses of the period after World War II and the expansion of education bear witness to mutual references between science and education policy, to common and failed objectives, and to the scope and demarcation lines that have to be renegotiated again and again. In the present anthology, these complex interconnected structures are taken up, illuminated from different perspectives, and structured as contributions to interconnections, knowledge orders, educational planning, and educational policy.
