New edition of the BiG's publication series now available

In No. 75 of our publication series, Bernhard Stüssi focuses on the life and work of Colonel Rudolf Bindschedler – a career officer who greatly influenced the development of the Swiss Armed Forces in the 19th century and beyond.

When Colonel Rudolf Bindschedler stepped down as Division IV head instructor in 1898, he had half a century of military service to look back on. He had completed recruit school according to Zurich's military organisation, in a time when Switzerland was becoming a modern federal state. Over the course of his career, he made an impact on countless military schools and influenced manoeuvres according to the Swiss federal military organisation of 1874.
