Non-digitised special collections
What did Swiss soldiers see and experience during their time in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission in Korea? How was the territory of today's Switzerland mapped? Did members of parliament act differently in the 1980s than they do today? What personal impressions have been preserved of soldiers on active duty? Find answers to these and more questions at the Library am Guisanplatz BiG.
The non-digitised special collections at the Library am Guisanplatz (BiG) provide more examples of its unusual physical inventory. Here you will find historical maps, documents of former Swiss members of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) and the large photo archive of the Federal Palace photographer Walter Rutishauser. Our special collections also include photo albums, recollections and other written documents, primarily relating to Swiss military history.
Many items in the non-digitised special collections can be found via the Alexandria research portal. Please contact us at recherchen@gs-vbs.admin.ch or call +41 58 464 50 97 if you would like to research the collections on the library premises.
