Alexandria Library Network
The Alexandria Library Network is a network of 15 libraries and documentation services of the Federal Administration and other publicly funded institutions. It is coordinated by the Library Am Guisanplatz, which is also responsible for the Alexandria search portal, in which all the library holdings are listed.
The Alexandria Library Network provides centralised access to the information sources of the Federal Administration and other publicly funded institutions. It comprises 15 libraries and documentation centres.
The Library Am Guisanplatz supports its network partners on technical matters and provides them with modern, high-performance systems for managing and accessing their collections. It is also responsible for the Alexandria search portal, which is integrated into the national search platform swisscovery.
Library network
In addition to the Library Am Guisanplatz, the libraries of the following institutions are open to the public (some by appointment only): Federal Statistical Office, Morge Castle and its museums, Military Academy at ETH Zurich, Vincenzo Vela Museum, Museum of Music Automatons, and the Oskar Reinhart Collection ‘Am Römerholz’. The services of other libraries are reserved for employees of their respective institutions.
